Where Do We Go From Here?

Now that we’re in a year in this pandemic, a lot has changed. There’s a lot of questions that need answers. One of those questions is, where do we go from here?

Life as we know before the pandemic might never happen again. The normalcy that we know before is gone. Sure, there those countries or places that feel like “normal” again but things are different now. QR Code scanners are everywhere. Stores now encourage cashless transactions. Classes are now online. Work is more flexible. Vaccination cards for travel might be implemented soon. Eating a restaurant is now an uncommon experience. Companies now encourage people to use third-party delivery apps. This is now the new normal.

So where do we go from here? What are the next steps for us to take? This pandemic affected all of us, but there’s a beneficial effect for those of us who survived. It fast tracked innovation. As I’ve written in this blog before, the workforce is shifting. People no longer need to waste their time and money to commute for hours. Companies are now shifting to work from home as an additional benefit. I’m in favor of the work from home aspect for two reasons. One, I’m an introvert. Two, commuting takes so much time from where I’m from.

However, for every progress humanity takes, there are those who will be left behind. Jobs and employment rates are affected There are people who are not equipped for the post-pandemic world. History shows us that this is bound to happen.

To prepare ourselves for the post-corona world, we must be ready. We must seek and understand knowledge.

So where do we go from here? Forward.
