Modern Problems Requires Old Solutions

The modern world keeps on moving. Media consumption is at an all-time high. Society is slowly turning into narcissistic dopamine addicts. We have confused citizens who hate the mistakes of the past, but like the direction of the dystopian world we are heading into. Things are happening so fast. I can’t believe it's 2021. It felt like the world stopped in 2020.
This is the state of the modern world. It is non-stop.
Mental health is an issue nobody wants to talk about. This is one of the greatest problems in the modern world. So why aren’t we talking about it? Is it because it contradicts hustle culture? Life before the internet age is different. That’s why mental health isn’t a huge issue at all.
Life today is different. Most of us have F.O.M. O or fear of missing out. Everyone wants to buy into the hype without deciding properly. We always compare ourselves to what we see on our phones. We keep chasing something that requires time and patience.
This is the effect of technology and social media.
What’s the solution?
Take a break.
Go to a place where you can feel peace and solitude.
Spend some time in nature.
If you can’t go out because of restrictions, leave social media for a while.
Detox for a day or two. If you can keep going, good for you.
Do some physical activities that aren't work related.
Read a book.
Keep in mind: It’s okay to hit the brakes in the non-stop world. This is an old solution that can help us fix modern problems. A solution that makes us better and refreshes our body, mind and spirit.
